Hello all,
As we start this new year, I wanted to send you a note of thanks.
Last year started off as quite a challenging one: a pandemic that none of us were really prepared for, our new normal that might not be changing anytime soon and for me specifically, a personal loss of a full-time position that I loved for over two decades. 2020 was a year of change. 2021 can only be brighter.
Today, I can look back and now see growth amongst the changes in 2020. Gained wisdom. Leveraging a well-established, much valued personal and professional network with so much new growth and branches shooting out that didn’t exist back in March. This network’s growth and these newly gained experiences outside the walls of my old position have all been because of you. Reaching out, chatting and networking with both time-tested and new business family. Working again with amazing friends from a previous life. Helping colleagues and their agency with project work. Starting project work with new peers. All progressing to capping off last year working for an agency in Midtown NYC. In all honesty, because of this pandemic, I have fulfilled a bucket-list dream of working for a world-renowned ad agency (. . . from my basement, on Broadway, in Pompton Lakes, NJ was never a part of that dream, but we take what we can get right?).
So, I wish you all the best for this new year and look forward to being part of– and learning of– your successes in this upcoming year.
Happy new year, stay safe and with great affection
John
